7/10(Sun.) - Pizza Day
Because there were no appointments scheduled at the hospital today, the two girls and their family, along with the translator stayed in the hotel today.. Volunteer Elaine Chin brought pizza and coke to visit. With the company of each other, everyone enjoyed the pizza whle listening to music from home that aftrernoon.

(Right) Everyone enjoyed the food and music. It was a relaxing afternoon.

7/12(Tues.) - Sylvienne Check-up
This morning Sylvienne headed over to the Craniofacial department in the Taoyuan Chang Gung Memorial Hospita for a check-up. She was treated by Dr. Liao, the director of the department.

Compared to her condition prior to the treatment (Left), Sylvienne has made great progress. Dr. Liao said that Sylvienne was recovering quickly and doing really. This is such exciting news!

7/13(Wed.) - Hair braiding day
Because there were no appointments scheduled at the hospital today, everyone was ready for cooking when voluteer Elaine Chin paid them a visit. They were quite adept at using kitchenware and gas; they even invited Elaine to join them for a meal! We also noticed that Leila, the translator, had new braids today and they looked amazing!

As long as she had the support rack (Right) on her arm, Patricia didn't have to have her finger (Left) tied up anymore! However, her right ring finger still required treatment since it didn't recover well enough.
Seeing the girls making progress in their treatment everyday, every volunteer at TRMPC, the medical staff at the hospitals, and their friends were ecstatic for the girls, and they were just as excited as we were!

7/15(Fri.) - Patricia's check-up
Patricia headed back to the plastic syrgery department in the Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital for a check-up to assess the progress of her recovery and for rehabilitation.

(Left) Dr. Hu was intently assessing how her right hand had recovered.
(Right)Treating the wound on Patricia's right hand.

(Left) Dr. Hu was treating Patricia's left hand and her right index finger.
(Right) Her right hand was wrapped up after treatment. Patricia cried so hard because it was really painful.

We would like to especially thank Ms. Ju from Good Care BioTech for providing the hydrogel wound dressing and burn dressing solution for Patricia since her right hand was recovering very slowly. In this past two weeks, new tissue on her right ring finger has grown, proving that the solution was quite effective. Therefore, Dr, Hu said that he will assess the progress of her recovery during the check-up next Tuesday and determine whether another skin graft surgery is necessary.

Lastly,
Sylvienne will check into the hospital on 7/19 to prepare for her second nasal bone and lip construction surgery, which is scheduled to be on 7/20.

TRMPC will continue to update the progress of the girls' treatment.
Join us to cheer them up!
