1997        On May 4, which is "Dentist Day", Dr. Liu was awarded "Service Spirit Award" by both Taiwan Dental Association and 7 Dental Schools in Taiwan

1998        Awarded "The Glory of the Rotary" by Rotary Club of Hsintien

1999       When Kosovo War happened, Dr. Liu lead a medical team with total 28 people to enter the refugee camp-Stenkovec providing voluntary medical services, which was the only medical team from Asia
